Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development
State of Alaska, Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, Division of Investments administer and service eleven state loan programs. These programs were primarily designed to promote economic development through direct state lending in industries that are not adequately serviced by the private sector. Active lending is currently available in four of our programs: Commercial Fishing, Fisheries Enhancement, Small Business Economic Development (SBED), and Rural Development Initiative Fund.
