High School Equivalency Diploma and Transcript Request

Important Note
Alaska High School Equivalency Diploma and transcripts will be issued using your full legal name. This information will be attained from your GED profile. Please make sure to use your correct address and contact information when setting up your account.

If you passed all four subject areas of the GED© Test, Congratulations on Your Achievement!

Diploma and transcript services are provided through GEDCredentialing on behalf of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The Alaska High School Equivalency Diploma is issued by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development and signed by the Commissioner of Labor. It is the counterpart to the Alaska High School Diploma.

Electronic Diplomas and Transcripts

Test-takers will receive a free Smart Diploma and Transcripts via a secure PDF once they complete the GED test battery. This happens in real time, after the student has earned an Alaska High School Equivalency Diploma.

After completing all four GED test subjects, a link will be emailed to the email address associated with your GED.com account. You will need to go to the link and download your Diploma and Transcript.

  • After receiving your link, download your documents as soon as you can. The link is only available for a limited time. Instructions are including in your email.
  • PDF documents are verified by GED Testing Services and Parchment LLC. Each document has secure Blue Ribbon™ technology features that maintains its authenticity.

Printed Diplomas

Graduates are entitled to a free printed diploma. This can be obtained through your GED© account.

To order your free Diploma:

  • Log into your GED.com account.
  • Go to My Scores.
  • Select Order Duplicates.
  • Select Diploma.
  • Select Printed Diploma - Free Option

It is important you understand the following:

  • You will need to know who and what address you would like your diploma mailed to.
  • You are only allowed one (1) free diploma. Once you have used the link and/or ordered your free diploma, you will have to request a duplicate diploma and pay a fee.
  • Carefully follow the instructions during the ordering process.

Requesting Duplicate Diplomas and Transcripts

Alaska uses GEDCredentialing™ which is administered by Parchment LLC, an external, internet-based digital credential service, to manage, verify, and fill all duplicate diploma and transcript requests. Students who have completed their GED testing and graduated with a High School Equivalency Diploma, regardless of the year passed, are managed by Parchment.

If you earned your diploma after 2014, you can order a duplicate diploma or transcript through your GED.com account.

To order your duplicate Diploma and/or Transcript:

  • Log into your GED.com account.
  • Go to My Scores.
  • Select Order Duplicates.
  • Carefully follow the instruction during the ordering process.

If you earned your diploma prior to 2014, you can request your duplicate diploma or transcript through GEDCredentialing

To order your duplicate Diploma and/or Transcript visit GED.com and go to the "Grads & Transcripts" tab.

  • Choose "Alaska" in the drop down box.
  • If you do not have a ged.com account, you will be prompted to set one up.
  • Fill out the online form as accurately as possible, including name used when testing, test date, and date of birth.
  • You will need a credit or debit card to complete your online order.

Duplicate Diplomas and/or Transcripts may not be picked up in person.

Additional or duplicate diplomas or transcripts may be order from  Parchment  for $15 each.

Requesting Duplicate Diplomas or Transcripts on Behalf of a Student (Vendor/Third Party Request)

Verification of High School Equivalency Diplomas earned by the passing of the GED© Test through the Department of Labor and Workforce Development will be provided by GEDCredentialing™. The Alaska Adult Education (AAE) Program does not verify any information from the AAE Office.

To verify that an individual passed the GED© test, you can sign up for one of the two account types listed below. After you have signed up for your account, you can request the individual's transcript.

The State AAE Office nor Parchment will provide a verbal verification or any other verification.

If you organization does not wish to set up a vendor account, you may request the student provide you a copy of their diploma and/or transcript obtained from GEDCredentialing™. The PDF document received can be supplied to your organized through email either from Parchment or directly from the student. The PDF document provided is verified using Blue Ribbon Security features.
